About : Jamia Protest
The protest is called by Jamia Islamia Students against the launch of Citizen Amendment Bill by the Prime Minister. The protest went so aggressive that the Police has to use tear gas in order to disrupt the crowd.
They also stormed into the hosted and college so that they could take charge of the place and break the protest. Police have also detained 50 Students who were later released as per the media sources.
On the other hand, Students claim that they were carrying the protest very peacefully, this statement completely differs what police have said. There were also some baseless rumors that some students might have died in the violence but later this news was declared false by the College Authorities.
VC of the college in his statement has said " I am with you (Students)"
